Music: What’s Hot this Summer!

Author: Diana Paredes

2016 was full of new album releases that either became our back to school jam or in some cases was just one of those songs you kept on replay. I mean, who didn’t jam out to the Biebs’ song, “What Do You Mean?”

With 2017 in full swing, major artists are promising only the most elite world class summer in music and concerts. Artists such as Justin Bieber, J. Cole and The 1975 are offering a music wonderland. They all announced tours for this summer in our area, bringing us a whole set of dates near us, and for reasonable prices. It’s a win-win on both sides; affordable and fun.

If you’re not one of those people who are keen on traveling, this is your opportunity to go have some fun with some of your favorite artists.

Some of the artists touring, such as Justin Bieber and Coldplay, had began touring in 2016, but because of high demand, decided to add a third leg to their world tours. Justin doesn’t disappoint, well at least when it comes to performing. Coldplay is America’s British heartthrobs, who just love America so much.

Shawn Mendes and Charlie Puth, on the other hand, are kicking off 2017 with a bang. Mendes, kickstarting his, “Illuminate” World Tour with headliner Charlie Puth, is expected to be one of 2017’s most promising shows. I mean, talk about Shawn Mendes’ song, “Treat You Better,” which charted number one on the billboard charts for five straight weeks. Charlie Puth’s, “We Don’t Talk Anymore,” featuring Selena Gomez, is still charting on Billboard’s’ Top 10. Mendes and Puth have been proving that they will be headlining a must-see show.

Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars, who with the launch of their albums, decided to surprise their fans and head out on tour. They are speculated to be a must see as well. Are you in for some Joanne or all about the 24K Magic? Or even better, both!

Too many shows, such little money, I feel you. Sometimes we are forced to choose or sometimes we just don’t eat out or hang out with friends for a month in order to buy that concert ticket. I say that from experience. Well, keep yourselves home and save up all you can because aside from all the amazing shows already announced, one of our favorite British heartthrobs’, Ed Sheeran is set to announce his “➗” tour, along with the release of his album on March 5th. Katy Perry is scheming around with a huge surprise for her fans, hinting at a tour for this year.
